How to use the tools

Every tool follows the same rhythm: add a file or open the camera, check the preview, make small edits, then download. Here are the steps for each one.

Cam Scanner

Not every laptop comes with a scanner. Scan paper with a webcam or phone camera, straighten it, and save a clean PDF or image.

  1. Add a pageChoose Camera / Webcam, or Add images to pick JPG, PNG, or WebP photos you already took. If the browser asks for camera access, allow it. If you block it, Add images still works.
  2. Correct the cornersDrag the four corner handles to the paper edges. The page is flattened as if it had been scanned from straight above.
  3. Choose a scan styleEnhanced Document whitens the paper and darkens the text. Use Black & White for faint print, Grayscale for photos, or Original to keep the colours untouched. Fine-tune brightness and contrast if needed.
  4. DownloadPick PDF for a multi-page document, or JPG / PNG for single images. Up to ten pages per session.

Tip: Light from the side, not from behind you. Your own shadow is the most common problem. Stand so the window or lamp is to the side of the page.

Privacy Runs in your browser. Camera frames and images stay on your device; nothing is uploaded to a server.

Document to Excel

Retyping a table into Excel takes ages. Turn a scanned table, receipt, or list into editable spreadsheet rows.

  1. Choose a file or take a photoPick a JPG, PNG, or PDF, or use the camera. For a photo you can adjust the four corners of the page first, or keep the original.
  2. Press ExtractOCR Mode is the default. The first run downloads the recognition model to your browser, which can take a moment; later runs are faster.
  3. Correct the sheetCompare the grid with the source beside it. Edit any cell, add or delete rows and columns, and use copy, cut, and paste like a normal spreadsheet.
  4. Download CSV or XLSXXLSX opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or LibreOffice. CSV is plain text for importing into other systems.

Tip: One table per photo. Crop to the table you need. Headers, logos, and handwriting around it add noise.

Privacy OCR Mode runs in your browser and does not upload the file. Readable PDF text is read locally too. Only the optional AI Mode sends a page image to a server, and only after you choose it and press Extract.

Document to Word

Retyping a letter from paper is slow. Turn a scanned letter or report into an editable Word document.

  1. Choose a file or take a photoPick a JPG, PNG, or PDF, or use the camera. Adjust the page corners for a photo, or keep the original.
  2. Press ExtractOCR Mode is the default and rebuilds paragraphs in reading order. The first run downloads the recognition model to your browser.
  3. Edit in placeFix words, set headings, bold or italic text, lists, and alignment directly in the page.
  4. Download DOCXThe file opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and LibreOffice Writer.

Tip: Shoot the page flat. Curved pages from a thick book bend the lines. Press the book open or scan each page separately.

Privacy OCR Mode runs in your browser and does not upload the file. Readable PDF text is read locally too. Only the optional AI Mode sends a page image to a server, and only after you choose it and press Extract.

  1. Add PDFs or imagesChoose one or more PDFs, or add JPG and PNG images as pages. Files added together are combined.
  2. Arrange pagesMove pages earlier or later, rotate them, delete blanks, or extract a single page into its own PDF.
  3. Add text or a signaturePlace a text box, or draw your signature with a mouse, finger, or a phone via a short-lived QR link. Resize and move it on the page.
  4. DownloadExport the result as a new PDF. The original files are not changed.

Tip: Name the export clearly. Use a name like 2026-11 Lease signed.pdf so the signed version is not confused with the draft.

Privacy Runs in your browser. PDF files stay on your device. The optional mobile signature only sends your handwriting strokes, never the PDF.
